What is CelloFest Ireland?
CelloFest Ireland is a unique summer gathering for adult cellists of all levels, from amateurs to university students and emerging professionals, who want to deepen their playing in a supportive and joyful environment.
Our goal is simple: to celebrate the cello in all its forms, from solo to ensemble, from classical to Celtic, from technique to expression.
About the Festival
Over six inspiring days, participants will immerse themselves in cello playing through:
-
Daily group sessions and masterclasses
-
Individual lessons with our core faculty
-
Collaborative ensemble projects leading to a final concert
-
Creative workshops on body awareness, improvisation, composition and cello mechanics
-
Excursion to Newgrange, one of Ireland’s world heritage sites - a 5200 year old Neolithic monument
Expect a week that balances musical growth with rest, reflection, and good company — with time to breathe, eat well, and enjoy the summer atmosphere in coastal north Dublin.
